Hey friend!

I'm Rachael. I enjoy morning walks and matcha. Oh, and I also love capturing your memories.

IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU.

Hey friend!

I'm Rachael. I enjoy morning walks and matcha. Oh, and I also love capturing your memories.

IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU.

By the time I was eight, I had lived in three different cities on three different continents.

I moved a lot growing up and, unfortunately, a lot of relationships I made along the way were lost in time. However, what remained were the boxes of photographs tucked away in the wedding cabinet. These photographs told stories of kids growing up, friendships being made, ice cream being consumed, and beautiful places that may no longer exist. While memories fade, photography is the quiet whisper in your ear to "never forget this moment."

Timeless, Fluid, Personable

I was born in Melbourne, Australia, but was raised in my motherland, Singapore. I grew up in a mixed culture family, which is why I celebrate my full name for my brand. Ai Lin, or 爱林, is a reminder of my upbringing in Singapore, where I consider home. My family and friends grew up calling me by my middle name Rachael, which is what I go as!

I started my business in 2011 with graduation and family photographs, but was introduced to wedding photography
in 2016. And I fell in love. It is the perfect blend of photojournalism, relationship building, and art. I cherish the stories I
get to tell and I’m excited to get to know you more.

Aside from photography, I love moving
my body (spin anyone?!), reading at Barton Springs, and traveling to new places.

2010

I began a year-long project called “Project 365”, which consisted of taking a photo everyday for 1 year. (It’s embarrassing, but you can view the gallery here.) This is where I learnt how to use a camera, use Photoshop, and grew in my creativity. I wouldn’t be here today if not for this project.

2011

I started taking on paid clients, mostly through grad sessions for my friends! Though I didn’t know it at the time, this is the start of my now-business.

2013

I moved from Singapore to Austin, Texas! Yee haw!

2014-2016

I took a break from photography as a business and focused on making sure photography was creative
and fun.

2016

I shot my first wedding and became hooked. Later
that year, I shot my first destination wedding in
Cancun, Mexico.

2017

I graduated from St. Edward’s University, started a
full-time job, and began to invest in my photography business and grow it. I shot multiple weddings that year part-time and did a lot of second shooting so I could learn from others in the industry!

2018

I continued to work full-time. Business continued as usual, and I kept my number of weddings low so I could focus on my clients.

2019

Business got busy, and I realized this could be a thing.

2020

Despite a global pandEMIC, I shot 13 weddings, most of these being elopements or backyard weddings. I also got a sweet brand refresh!

2021

I was fortunate enough to grow my business even more, taking on boudoirs, proposals, and branding opportunities. All while booking my busiest season of weddings!

We feel so so lucky to have had Ailin (Rachael) capture our wedding day! After a last minute cancellation with another photographer, she was quick to respond to my inquiry and continued to show up and impress every step of the way. She captured our wedding day with boundless energy despite the Austin summer heat, was quick to send us some incredible preview shots, and all in all was an absolute blessing on our day! We feel so lucky to have found her and without reservation recommendation her to capture your special day!!

Rachael is amazing. She shot our engagement photos on a Sunday evening and despite the Texas heat she made us feel so relaxed and at ease. We can be pretty awkward in front of a camera and she made us feel confident the entire time! We hit all the spots we wanted to in one hour, she is super efficient. After we parted ways I remembered one shot I really wanted and she met back up with us RIGHT THEN to get it done! About an hour after we wrapped she already had a few breathtaking shots to share! So so impressed and cannot say enough amazing things about Rachael. Would recommend her to anyone who wants a light, comfortable, enjoyable, efficient and amazing shoot for any occasion. We are already dying to get them all printed!

Ailin (Rachael) was amazing throughout the entire process of engagement shoot to wedding day! It was important to my husband and me that our wedding day not be overtaken by posed photos, so we could focus on having a genuine and relaxed day. Ailin was perfect. Her personality is fun and easy-going. She’s so talented that it’s so easy to trust her and just enjoy the moment. She has a great way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Not to mention really reasonable prices! And to top it off, she sent us a personalized box beautifully packaged with printed photos. 100% recommend!

Rachael is wonderful!!!! Incredibly responsive, timely, professional, and just lovely to be around!! Not to mention she takes the most phenomenal pictures. She did my and several of my friends graduation pictures, as well as my best friends engagement shoot and wedding shoot. For every one of these we got so many questions asking who our amazing photographer was and how to get in touch with her. Thank you Rachael for always delivering the best service AND art!!!

Ailin (Rachael) was referred to me by my friend who got her wedding pictures done by her. From my first contact with Ailin, she was very easy to communicate with and very open to suggestions as to how we wanted our pictures to be. When we met up with her on the day of photo shoot she was super friendly made it so easy for our family to relax and be very natural. I love the quality of our pictures and it was equally loved by our family and friends I will recommend Ailin to anyone and she will be our photographer going forward.

We had Rachael shoot our engagement and wedding photos this year and
she was absolutely spectacular. She was creative, patient, energetic and easy to work with. She made us feel very comfortable and put our mind at ease. She showed flexibility flying in last minute to shoot our wedding in Florida the day before thanksgiving. She also had our pictures back in less than 2 weeks!
They were absolutely beautiful! Next time we need a professional
photographer we will 100% use her again!

There was no question for us after meeting with Ailin (Rachael) that she was EXACTLY what we wanted in a wedding photographer. She was easy to talk to, fun to be around, and immediately made us feel comfortable. Neither of us love being in front of the camera, so it was important for us to find someone that put us at ease, and who we could see ourselves really connecting with. Her style of photography was what we had been looking for, and her personality was an added bonus (I had to stop myself from asking her to hangout multiple times).

Working with Ailin (Rachael) is exciting and comfortable at the same time. It felt like I was talking to a friend who exactly understood what I wanted, even before I'd met her in person. Also on set she has such good energy. There's absolutely no need to fake a smile because you'll make fun for sure! She takes time for you and all your wishes, and she has good suggestions too. When I saw the final results I was so thrilled! The photos were amazing and - maybe the most important thing of all - I still saw myself and my real twinkling. So, if you want to capture yourself in a really authentic and beautiful aesthetic way, go to Ailin!
