Portraits with Michelle! Michelle and I have known each other for a solid decade. We were both known as the photographers in our respected schools (her’s in Bangkok, mine in Singapore). When we both moved to Austin for college, that’s where we met for the first time.
What I love most about Michelle is her fierce spirit – she has always been unapologetically herself and puts her all into the things and people she loves.
One of those things is her dog, Teddy. When Teddy was diagnosed with grade 5 IVDD last year, leaving his rear legs paralyzed, there was no doubt in her mind that she was going to fight with him.
“It’s been far from easy, but every day I wake up I see his face and am reminded that there is no challenge we can’t overcome together. He brightens the deepest parts of my soul, and it’s been the greatest joy of my life to cheer him along every step of our journey.”
Michelle
It’s been a slow recovery, but Michelle has shown me time and time again what a strong person she is. And I am so proud to call her my friend. Here are the portraits of them two in Austin’s cozy Clarksville neighborhood.
