Ahhh, to be young and graduating from college again! Jenny was a friend of a 2018 grad I photographed – she joined the session to hype up her friend and we took some besties photos along the way! It turned out Jenny didn’t forget that experience, and she reached out to me 2 years later when it was her turn to walk across the *virtual* stage! Instead of having a formal graduation ceremony, we took Jenny’s college grad photos on South Congress.
Jenny is a graduate of Concordia University with her degree in nursing. During our session on South Congress Avenue, we talked about her interview process, COVID-19 and how she can’t wait to make a difference right away, and what her dream job would be.
Graduation sessions are so special to me. They are where I started with my photography journey, and they are just so fun! They bring so much positivity, swag, and coolness. I also get to learn more about the Gen-Z trends – what is a ‘Renegade’, for example.
After our session, Jenny left me with the sweetest note:
I’ll say it again!! Having pictures taken by Rachael for my grad was the only “normal” part of this year and I can’t even begin to explain how special it was to see my parents react to them! In the midst of all this year’s chaos, Rachael is capturing memories that last a lifetime and bringing color to people’s lives! ❤️

Thank you Jenny! Congratulations on your first nursing job out of college! Time to go make a difference now.
Enjoy the photos x
